Places To Go When You Plan On Bunking Classes In Shillong

Is your class boring and there’s something evil going in your head or do you plan to bunk school then we have shortlisted few best place to hit around the town where you can kill time in peace and have fun too.

 

1) Cathedral 

 This is a place where you could chill out and enjoy the breathtaking view of the surrounding regions, also the vibrant colours of the sky when the sunsets. A great place to have deep conversations with your friends. 

2) Golflink

This is a wide space a little farther away from the main city, you could also bring some snacks with you to munch on while you're exchanging words and laughter with your friends. It is 'the' spot for you to take amazing videos and pictures. 

3) Ward's Lake

This is a great spot for you to go boating and do other stuff like; feeding the fishes (I'm not so sure if that's allowed tho), sit on the benches or anywhere and just be with nature. You can enjoy it's full experience when the cherry blossoms shed and during fall. It is also a great spot for you to click some pics. (Remains closed every Tuesday)

4)  Lady Hydari Park

This is a park/zoo, so two things for you to do in one. Although feeding and petting the animals is not allowed, you could just wave and smile at them , it's much better than to just look and then walk away. There are a few slides and other rides that's not for adults. Just next to the rides there is a museum like place, you could go in just to kill more time. There are a wide variety of fauna for you to look at and admire. You can buy snacks and enjoy the street food that they sell outside the park after you're done visiting it. (It remains closed atleast once a week) 

5) Police Bazaar

  

You could go and relish on to the street food that's there from chowmein to roasted corn. Since it is a food hub you can enjoy pizzas, chicken and  appreciate the view that the place provides by looking out the window. Other than that you can check out a few stores and enhance your fashion taste ;)
